What is your area of expertise?
My expertise lies in real estate, with a focus on project development and commercial real estate transactions. I work with developers, housing associations and municipalities, among others, on a range of transactions involving purchases and sales, area development and the legal structuring of projects. What appeals to me is that every project is different and that legal, commercial and practical interests all come together in a single file.
Why does this role suit you?
The role of deputy civil-law notary suits me well because it combines substantive legal work with client contact. I enjoy translating complex issues into practical solutions and working with clients to arrive at a workable approach. Real estate law appeals to me because of its direct link to everyday practice and to wider social developments, such as housing construction and area development.
What can clients expect from you?
Clients can expect an engaged and approachable advisor. I explain complex legal issues clearly and actively think along on solutions. Careful, practical guidance throughout the transaction is central to how I work, so that clients always know where they stand.
What's your educational background?
I completed a bachelor's degree in Law and a master's in Notarial Law at Utrecht University. I also completed a minor in Tax Law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
